It was a late evening just as the sun sets down over the west
horizon that people spotted it. Ronnie and I had just come out of a
store selling ad’s for the year book for our high school...
and I mentioned it to Ronnie.
It was round and had lights at the top and the bottom.
We got in my car and were headed to get something to eat for
supper. On the radio, they stated that people had seen it set down over on Davis Road.
and find this mystery object.
After finding the road that the radio
our imaginations just ran wild with us.
the area..
for the flying saucer.
there it was...
went fast between the trees.
and top of the object.
I remember being so scared and frightened that night.
that I have looked back over for
many years now.
Remembering how I turned
my 1968 Mustang
around and high tailed it out of the area so fast,
that it wasn’t even funny.
Ronnie was sitting over in the passengers seat dying
of laughter at my reaction.
He was always my side kick and a good friend.
On the way home, we came to the rail road tracks, I stopped.
I looked both ways and just as we went over them,
he hollers out..
WOO WOO just like a train whistle.
I was already shaking from
the mystery object and then the train.
God drove us home from then on
because I was a wreck...
Now to tell you the what the real answer to what we saw.
The road went parallel to I-20 and the lights were a
18 Wheeler Truck going
by that we could see between the trees.
Me being the dummy that I am, wasn’t paying close enough attention, I was on the look out
for that famous Martian, or space craft.
Oh, and the space craft
turned out to be a weather balloon.
It was all over the news later that night.
It’s amazes me that it only takes one person to point
something out and the rest of the folks to wonder and
think the same way.
I know, I was one of them too.
I still laugh at myself about the dumb things, I did in my youth.
Thank you for visiting
and for your wonderful comments.
